o About the Accounting Receivable Supervisor:
The candidate that will prosper in this role will be smart, dedicated, customer service driven, and willing to think outside of the box! What you will be doing:
Review and approve/decline customer credit applications up to the assigned limit.
Manage new customer applications, and review submissions - ensuring all documents are provided for a credit decision.
Participate in meetings with AR specialists to discuss past due accounts.
Review bi-weekly AR aging report to review delinquent accounts and distribute the list for AR specialists for audit.
Regularly review existing accounts to recommend Credit Holds and identify accounts whose credit limit has been exceeded and present to the Accounting Operations Supervisor for a recommended course of action.
Monitor and contact assigned customers regarding past due status.
Reconcile customer accounts that have disputes or billing issues and address concerns with customers.
Assist and work with sales and site office staff on past due accounts to mitigating risk and provide resolution assistance as needed.
Place direct calls for collection purposes, process demand letters, and submit seriously delinquent accounts to outside agencies for collection once approved.
Provide support for and collaborate with Accounting Operations Supervisor.
Perform special duties and other projects as assigned.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of accounts receivable experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Proven excellent customer service skills.
Able to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems.
Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, internal and external customers, and the general public.
