GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Software Engineer works with the project manager, hardware engineer and construction engineer to execute successful building automation systems in commercial markets.
Responsibilities:
The Applications Engineer is responsible for the following tasks:
Development of project specific software and graphics per NAMI guidelines
Coordinate and support all software related functions including vendor interface
Interpret hardware designs and develop sequences of operation as well as code to ensure system operates as required
Write, compile, test and install control application programs for HVAC and Integrated Systems
Support commissioning engineers
Create and appropriately use standard software libraries
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office environment, physical requirements include finger dexterity for keying, ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to travel to remote jobsite locations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5
years' experience in writing Andover Controls software programs preferred. Must possess a solid understanding of networking, temperature controls and integrated systems. Able to set up PC's, loading software on workstations as well as servers. Knowledge of Building Automation and HVAC controls is required. Able to read and comprehend design drawings of control systems. Knowledge of CAD systems in particular AutoCAD and Visio is highly desirable. We are looking for people who can work in a team environment while taking responsibility for their tasksEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
